The COVID-19 tragedy hasn't been over for long. During this time, we witnessed events that shamed humanity, but also encountered individuals who exemplified humanity and won people's hearts. It was a time when even the biggest atheist stood with folded hands before God. Sadly, while some wealthy individuals distanced themselves even from the deaths of their close relatives, on the other hand, a stranger suddenly became our own, driven by a passion to serve humanity.

Even after such a terrible tragedy, it seems that many people's eyes have not opened, and animals in the guise of humans are still active. Looking at the rapid pace at which situations are changing today, it is clear that our youth generation has been most affected by this entire episode. Young people, who complete their education with countless dreams, learn skills, and have only one thought in their minds – to serve their country, society, and family. Youth are the assets of any country who are always at the forefront to contribute the most to its development.

Youth in Employment Crisis, Lack of Guidance

Today, the future of those most under question is the youth. The problems regarding employment for young people today exist because those who provide correct guidance are perhaps on the verge of disappearing from the world. Asia, which mainly includes countries bordering India such as Pakistan, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, etc., has seen the employment paths of its youth ruined by the leaders and politics there.

For the youth of these countries, leaders have generally assigned only one task - to protest. They are lured with some money, removed from employment, and engaged in this new task. Leaders are forcing these educated young people to wander in order to get their work done. To save their seats, these people employ individuals behind the youth who force them to drop out of studies and involve them in illegal activities, such as the drug trade. For this, educated youth in colleges and other educational institutions trap many young people and use them as tools for themselves. The most shocking thing is that the local administration usually protects them, because due to the continuously increasing anarchy, the youth of this entire region are distressed about what to do, which local leaders and other capitalists take advantage of.

Reason for South Asia's Backwardness: Corrupt Politics and Lack of Education

The biggest reason for the backwardness of these countries in South Asia is the politics here, because here the entire system mostly works at the behest of the ruling party. Lack of education is another major reason. Bangladesh, which was rapidly moving towards development in the last two decades, also suddenly saw its youth engage in locking down educational institutions after a change in power, due to which there is an atmosphere of anarchy there today as well.

If we look at South Asia, although there is unemployment among the youth of India, due to the vigilance of the administration here, the youth are working in the right direction, and the work efficiency of India's youth is recognized all over the world today. The youth here are working in top positions in foreign companies.

Vast Internet Market and Political Eclipse

At this time, such a large market is available on the internet for the youth, from which we can reach the markets of the entire world by sitting in any place. If South Asia is called the world of youth, then this statement is also completely true, but the politics of this entire region, which is acting as a puppet of Europe, has cast a kind of eclipse on it. Because of the resources that the government provides to bring their talents to society, the politicians of this region have already taken control of them.

Brain Drain and Exploitation of Youth Talent

The biggest source of development for any country is its youth. The country makes big decisions relying on them, because every year millions of young people come forward with new talents to contribute to the society and the country's economy. But what happens is that due to the corruption prevalent in the country's politics, the youth either leave the country for Europe soon or change their path, because instead of getting encouragement for their work in their own country, they find it difficult to even earn a basic living. Therefore, they either take refuge with a leader, who makes them do whatever they want and takes advantage of them. If seen in the true sense, a society that understands the talents of the youth has perhaps disappeared somewhere today.

Conclusion:

South Asia faces a critical juncture where the potential of its vast youth population is being squandered by corrupt politics, lack of adequate education and guidance, and a failure to harness the opportunities presented by the modern world. While India stands out as a nation recognizing and utilizing its youth power, the broader region is plagued by issues that lead to brain drain, exploitation, and a bleak outlook for the future. The promise of the internet and the dynamism of young people remain untapped due to political interference and a lack of genuine support for their aspirations. For South Asia to progress, a fundamental shift in political will and a renewed focus on empowering its youth through education and opportunities are essential to prevent a future shrouded in darkness.
